Global goals for local communities

Regional NSW is a proud supporter of WaterAid, an international not-for-profit organisation determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere. See PDF document 'build your journey'

Joining with WaterAid offers local water utilities the opportunity to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 6: ensure access to water and sanitation for all. Some examples of the Water Directorate's work towards this goal are:

• Working with the NSW Government on the Aboriginal Communities Water and Sewerage Program
• Working with NSW Health on rural water supplies
• Supporting WaterAid financially and by promotion of their activities.
