Hi All,
Here at Goldenfields we have been trialling a number of different online analysers for our sites including our WTP's which need to cover chlorine (Free), Total and pH as a minimum. We have so far trialled Blue I Hydroguard HG-702 and Burket 8905 units; however, reliable and consistancy in data has been a struggle. We have found that the Blue I units do not like high condensation areas and the Burkets struggle with heavy manganese quality issues. Whilst the Burkets have been ok for us within the distribution system, it is becoming very painful at our WTP's as they require constant re-calibration and will shut the plant down frequently.
We are just wondering what everyone is using at their plants with known high manganses levels. Ideally we want something that will provide both Free and Total Cl2 data; however it is becoming apparant we may need to just go back to our residual readings for online control. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers

Hey Geoff,
I'm told that we have had the best experience with the Siemens/Evoqua analysers and this is what we use at all of our WTPs. I can put in you in touch with staff responsible if you would like more information.
Thanks
Bruce Logan

I've heard that Automatic Self-cleaning sensors are coming in to the market too Geoff. https://www.kuntze.com/en/automatic-sensor-cleaning/
