HiI am seeking advice regarding refurbishment of concrete in sewer pump station wet wells that have significant deterioration due to H2S attack. MidCoast Council Water Services has been approached by contractors promoting epoxy coating and others promoting
calcium aluminate coating. The quotes for calcium aluminate are significantly higher. I have heard that some water utilities have had bad experiences with epoxy coatings and are avoiding epoxy entirely. Is anyone lining old sewer pump station wet wells with
epoxy or is it only on a brand new wells? If you are coating old wells with epoxy, what are your specifications for surface preparation prior to coating and how long before you can return the well to service?Any assistance would be appreciated.ThanksAdam Turville

Hi Adam. By the looks we don't have any experiences to share. It might be worthwhile getting in touch with WSAA and obtain the experience from larger Australian utilities. Please contact me by email if you need my assistance. Cheers, Brendan Guiney Executive
