The Cutting, Handling and Disposal of Asbestos Cement (AC) Pipe Guidelines were originally produced by the Water Directorate in March 2003. The guidelines were reviewed and amended in November 2014, to take into account the introduction of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) and the associated Work Health and Safety Regulation (NSW) that repealed the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000. They have again been updated and reviewed to take account of changes in legislation and the review of the Work Health and Safety Regulation (NSW), 2017.
