Just wondering if you can share your experience in managing grease trap trade waste/
Whether you have a treatment facility? to handle this waste or it has to be taken out to some external facilities in Sydney or elsewhere?
Thank you

Hi Durgananda, there are a couple of examples of grease and oil treatment facilities that I'm aware of. I'm hoping that the councils involved will reply here, but have also reached out directly to them by email. Best regards, Brendan Guiney | Executive Officer | Water Directorate

Hi,
Our Waste Facility DEpot used to collect grease arrestor waste but they no longer accept such waste.
We have One transporter (Sam's Liquid Waste) who has an EPA licence to soil inject grease arresrtor waste. And anther transporter (JR Richards) who has a licenced facility to treat this collected grease trap waste and then discharge to our sewerage system.
JR Richards also collrct oily waste in our LGA but take that to a facility outside of our LGA for treatment/disposal.
Sam's Liquid Waste have a licenced facility to treat oily waste, which again then discharges to our sewer.
If you would like any further information about these facilities please contact me on 6801 4866 or bec.eade@dubbo.nsw.gov.au.
Thanks, Bec
