A list of all submissions to date can be seen on the DWE website. DWE advises that "..[t]he Department of Water and Energy, with other NSW Government agencies, is now considering the issues raised in submissions and undertaking further analysis of report recommendations in order to devise specific strategies to meet the goals of sustainable, secure long term water supply and sewerage services in non-metropolitan NSW."
The NSW Government is expected to release its response to the Independent Inquiry Report in mid 2009.
This response is understood to be in the form of draft legislation regarding the binding alliance model. The Water Directorate and the LGSA will continue to request our involvement in the policy process and request an opportunity to comment on the draft legislation once it has been prepared.
