This year the IPWEA NSW Conference will revolve around the theme ‘Enhancing Skills, Empowering Communities’. The conference will focus on developing, building and retaining skills and staff within the workforce and the need to cultivate ongoing consultation with our local communities. The Conference will also see the return of the popular NSW Roads Congress and the Road Safety Officers Forum. A full and informative program is ensured for all those involved with or supplying to the public works, infrastructure and local government industries.
The highly regarded IPWEA Excellence Awards will be presented on Monday 17 May at the Gala Dinner. This year for the first time an outstanding Public Works Leader of the Year award will be presented. This Award has been created to recognise the performance of an individual IPWEA (NSW) member for leadership in the delivery of public works.
In addition, the winner of the Innovation in Water Supply and Wastewater Award, sponsored by the Water Directorate, will be announced. Congratulations to all nine Category 3 award nominees, we look forward to seeing you there on the evening. The IPWEA NSW Conference venue for 2010 will be the Novotel Hotel in Wollongong starting on Sunday 16th May through to Wednesday 19th May 2010.
