Bega Valley Saves Millions of Litres of Water Each Year
2 May 2008
The Water Loss Management Program has recently announced that Bega Valley Shire Council has successfully saved 120 million litres of water per year on the NSW south coast.
This is an outstanding effort and the Water Directorate is pleased to be part of this proactive program that aims to save councils significant amounts of water. Water loss is a hidden problem that shouldn't be ignored and we strongly encourage Councils to allocate a high priority and necessary resources to expedite their water loss management projects.
Local Water Utilities interested in applying for assistance under this program should contact, Mirko Sramek, Program Manager, on (02) 9242 4127.
