At the July Executive Committee meeting a special resolution was passed to adopt the proposed amendment to our Constitution.
In July 2010 the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 and Associations Incorporation Regulation 2010 commenced. This new legislation outlined requirements that had to be adhered to by the Water Directorate including the amendment of the title 'Statement of Objects and Rules of the Water Directorate' to 'Constitution of the Water Directorate'. General Managers at all member councils were notified of the proposed amendments and a postal ballot was sent them in April. The postal ballots were returned with 75% of all members approving of the changes and the special resolution was passed by the Executive Committee on 14 July 2011.
