The LGSA Water Management Conference was recently held in Ballina on 13-15 August. Over 220 delegates discussed issues including the local government review and climate change. Congratulations to the LGSA, to hosts Ballina Shire Council and to sponsors for holding a very enjoyable and successful conference.
The Water Directorate hosted the Water Managers' Forum for the sixth year. We were very pleased to have at least 75 attendees at this forum given that it is in competition with the site tours. Thanks to those delegates who participated in the discussion as well as the to the six panellists - Stewart McLeod, Carmel Krogh and Mike Rayner from the Water Directorate Executive, Mirko Sramek from the Water Loss Management Program, Adrian Langdon from DWE and Chris Davis from UTS' Institute for Sustainable Futures.
