The latest publication from the Water Directorate is the Business Continuity Management Guidelines. This guideline examines programs for risk management, emergency response and crisis management and was prepared by MC2Pacific under the review of the Water Directorate's Policy Sub-committee.
The Executive Committee of the Water Directorate accepts that most LWUs will have some form of an operations and/or maintenance regime. However, not all LWUs have all the relevant components of that regime. Therefore, we commissioned MC2 Pacific Pty Ltd to explain the process of business continuity management and develop these Guidelines.
The Guidelines are divided into the three main elements: risk management; emergency response and crisis management; and business continuity planning. Each section contains an introduction to the process, templates for completing local plans as well as worked examples and proformas relevant to the sector.
