The LGSA Water Management Conference was recently held in Inverell on 16-17 August. Congratulations to the LGSA, to hosts Inverell Shire Council and to sponsors for holding a very enjoyable and successful conference.
Held annually, the Water Management Conference is an opportunity for councillors, council staff, water managers, government representatives and the broader industry to tackle the key policy issues and discuss ways forward to achieve a sustainable future in the water industry.
This year the theme of the conference was exploring the changing landscape of water management and its implications for local government.
The guest speaker was new Minister for Water and Energy, the Hon. Nathan Rees MP.
