Operations
and Maintenance Manual for Water Pumping Stations
14 August 2002
The Water Directorate is very pleased
to have developed an Operations and Maintenance Manual for
Water Pumping Stations
(including River Offtakes, Bores and Inline Booster Installations)
on behalf of our 93 member Councils.
A series of seven
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
have been developed to assist local government in delivering
a reliable and cost-effective operations and maintenance
regime.
This O&M Manual for Water Pumping Stations is presented
in a template format so that any Council can easily use it
to suit their specific local installations and conditions.
It is divided into several sections with each section concentrating
upon a different aspect of implementing a best practice O&M
regime. The user of this manual will be those local government
authorities throughout NSW responsible for the operation
and maintenance of Water Pumping Stations.
This manual addresses the requirements of the new NSW Occupational
Health and Safety Act 2001 and Regulations and will be particularly
useful for the implementation of the new legislation.
