ATTENTION: YOUNG WATER AND SEWER ENGINEERS
The
Water Directorate Executive Committee is proud to sponsor
a Conference Attendance Award to promote young engineers working
in the local government water and sewer industry.
The
winner will attend Ozwater
05 held at
the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre
from 8 May to 12 May 2005.
The
total value of this Award is worth up to $3,000. The Water
Directorate undertakes to reimburse travel fares and accommodation
costs up to $1,500 and the AWA provides one full registration
gratis to the successful applicant.
To
be eligible the applicant must be -
· a
junior engineer with less than 5 years experience
·
working in a water and sewerage section of council
·
working for a member council of the Water Directorate

Ozwater
05
is the AWA's biennial event designed to bring the water community
together to talk about policy, technology, business and the
environment. The Water Directorate believes this conference
provides young engineers with a good opportunity to network
and increase their awareness of the water industry across
Australia .
A
Nomination Form is available below to download. It should
be completed by the applicant and signed by the manager and/or
supervisor. Attendance at the Conference must be in accordance
with the normal policies and procedures for leave at the applicant's
Council.
All
nomination forms are judged by the Executive Officer and the
Chair of the Water Subcommittee. Judging criteria is based
on the engineering and environmental benefits to council and
the professional benefits that are received by the young engineer
from attending Ozwater 05.
Nomination
forms are due to be returned by 10 February 2005. Please
