Detailed guidance on how best to construct both flushing
and fire hydrant assemblies using PE.
AusPoly design guidelines for dynamic stresses (surge
and fatigue)
The new AusPoly specification for PE pipes and fittings
for buried sewers.
A section on system life to address many of the misunderstandings
that exist within the water industry concerning the relationship
between the 50 year design stress and the expected pipeline
system life.
Vacuum sewer systems. These have been added to the PE
Code since most vacuum systems can best exploit the advantages
of PE pipelines. Note. The section on vacuum systems in
the current Sewerage Code will not be in the coming Sewerage
Code revision.
Revisions include
The table of pressure pipe design factors has been extensively
revised using risk management principles and should provide
more practicable outcomes for designers and asset owners.
Installation and testing sections updated to reflect
the current best practices that have been proven in the
field.
