The Water Directorate is very pleased to have developed an Operations and Maintenance Manual for Chlorination Installations on behalf of our member councils.

This manual is the second to be prepared by Asset Design Services of Albury City Council. The user of this manual will be those local government authorities throughout NSW responsible for the operation and maintenance of chlorination installations at water and wastewater facilities.

The O&M Manual is presented in a template format so that any Council can easily use it to suit their specific local installations and conditions. It is divided into several sections with each section concentrating upon a different aspect of implementing a best practice O&M regime.

To facilitate the manual's usefulness, a CD Rom containing the complete text of the manual is included. The CD Rom has the manual in both a word and pdf format. In addition, on the CD Rom released with the Chlorination Installations Manual, a copy of the Submersible Sewage Pumping Stations O&M Manual, has been included in a word format.(Previously only a pdf copy of the manual was available.)

Forthcoming O&M manuals will concentrate upon sewer reticulation, water reticulation, water pumping stations (including river offtakes, bores and inline booster installations), water supply service reservoirs and wet and dry well sewage pumping stations.

The Water Directorate welcomes any feedback you may have about the content, structure or usefulness of the O&M Manual.
