The Water Directorate is very pleased to have developed
this Survey of NSW Local Government Effluent and Biosolids
Reuse 2000 on behalf of our member councils. This report
was launched at the LGSA Water Management Conference at Forbes
on 31 August 2001.
This Survey of NSW Local Government Effluent and Biosolids
Reuse 2000 provides an opportunity for councils involved
or planning to be involved in effluent and biosolids management
to benefit from industry experience in reuse and recycling
as part of an integral approach to water management. The
Water Directorate hopes the information will assist councils
to share experiences, solve problems and identify opportunities
to increase reuse and recycling.
It is acknowledged that some survey data
requires verification, however it is more accurate than any
previous survey of local
government effluent and biosolids reuse in NSW. It would
be appreciated if you could check your council's data and
advise any errors, omissions or amendments as soon as possible
so that information can be updated.
