Earlier today, Malcolm Turnbull, Federal
Parliamentary Secretary for water policy, announced
four major water projects for New South Wales on behalf of
the Prime
Minister.
The
four projects are worth more than $70 million and the Federal
Government is contributing more than $17 million from the
Water Smart Australia programme.
We are very pleased to announce that one of the successful
recipients of funding is the joint submission between the
Water Directorate and Local Government and Shires Associations
for the Water Loss Management Program for NSW Regional Water
Utilities.
The
joint project will receive $7.387 million
in funding with participating NSW councils
contributing on average $450,000 each or a total of $14.772
million over four years.
