Country Energy, in association with the Industry Safety Steering Committee (DEUS), is hosting Energy Safety Solutions 2006 field days on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June 2006 at the Dubbo Showground, cnr Fitzroy and Wingewarra St, Dubbo.

The Field Safety Days have been running successfully for some years now, focussing on providing a safe working message to the energy industry.  For the first time this year, the Field Safety Days will also incorporate a Water Safety Workshop, sponsored by the Water Directorate.

The Water Safety Workshop will be comprised of several presentations covering topics such as confined spaces, AC pipes, risk assessment, safe working methods and stray electrical currents.  Key members of the Water Directorate's Executive Committee have directly contributed to the content of this workshop to make it relevant to water industry personnel, particularly operational staff.

We would like to encourage all water and sewer authorities, especially our member councils, to send your operational staff to the Field Safety Days.  We believe it is very important to keep them motivated and up to date on these safety issues.
