Drought Management
Workshop - Will Your System Cope?
7
August 2003
The current drought is one of the worst in recorded history
and no one is sure what will happen
next. Survival of communities around NSW will depend crucially
upon how well water authorities plan for and manage drought
conditions. This workshop will give you vital insights to
the status of the drought, forecasts, how your catchment will
behave in drought conditions and what to do about it.
The
Water Directorate and AWA have assembled a combination of
experts and practitioners who have experienced the issues.
They will take delegates through the aspects and impacts of
drought and will help you to prepare a robust system that
will give maximum protection against this and future drought
conditions.
The
Workshop will be held at Neapean Shores on 15-16 September
2003. All local government water authorities are encouraged
to attend this topical and important workshop.
