The Innovation in Water and Wastewater
Awards were announced last week at the IPWEA's Engineering
Excellence Awards night. As in previous years, the standard
of nominations was very high, with two worthy award winners.
Congratulations
to Coffs Harbour City Council for winning this award for its
project
Telemetry
- Switchboard Standardisation, accepted by Geoff
Newton. Congratulations also to Byron Shire Council for winning
the Highly Commended Innovation Award for its project on the
Byron
Bay Integrated Water Management Reserve, presented
to Phil Warner.
Every
project is a team effort that involves many people and all
councils involved are congratulated for their efforts.
We hope this year's awards inspire you to nominate your projects
for next year's Innovation Awards and/or to present a paper
in the Water and Wastewater Session.
