Australian Water Association
The Australian Water Association is a professional membership organisation formed in 1962 to promote the responsible management of water and its related resources. The AWA distributes a weekly news service updating a range of issues in the water industry.  To view or subscribe to this free AWA news click here.

Department of Environment and Climate Change and Water
The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water was established in 2009. DECCW is one of the Government’s new super agencies and combines the responsibilities of the former Department of Environment and Climate Change with the water management responsibilities of the former Department of Water and Energy. Under this Departmental arrangement, they report to two Ministers: the Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and the Minister for Water.

NSW Office of Water
The NSW Office of Water is a separate office within the DECCW . It is responsible for the management of the State's surface water and groundwater resources. The Office reports to the Minister for Water for water policy and the administration of key water management legislation, including the Water Management Act 2000, Water Act 1912, and the Hawkesbury-Nepean River Act 2009.

Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia
The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) is a professional organisation providing member services and advocacy for those involved in and delivering public works and engineering services to the community.

Local Government and Shires Associations
Together, the Local Government Association of NSW (LGA) and the Shires Association of NSW represent 152 general purpose councils as well as about 13 special purpose councils. The LGSA has an active and important role to play in the management of water in NSW.

The savewater!alliance was established in Victoria in 2004 as a not for profit association focussed on providing information about water conservation. Its aim is to accelerate water conservation behaviour change and promote water saving products in line with government and water industry needs. The savewater!alliance website has all the information you need in one place to help you find the right water saving product for your home, garden or business

Smart Approved WaterMark
Smart Approved WaterMark is Australia's water saving labelling program for products and services which are helping to reduce outdoor water use. Set up by AWA, WSAA, IAL and NGIA the scheme is supported by the Australian Government's Water Smart Australia programme.

unbanwater.info
Urbanwater.info is an initiative of the Hunter Central Coast Regional Environmental Management Strategy and provides tools and resources to the community, technical and business sectors that demonstrate how to manage water resources well.  The website is funded by NSW Government through the Stormwater Trust

WaterAid
WaterAid Australia is a new agency created in 2004.  It is part of the international governmental organisation dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.

Water Industry Operators Association
The Water Industry Operators Association is a membership organisation open to any persons carrying out the whole, or part operation and maintenance of any facet of the water inudstry. It has strong networks in NSW, Queensland and Victoria with regular newsletters, conferences and trade shows.

Water Loss Management Program
The Water Loss Management Program (WLMP) is a $22M joint initiative of the Local Government and Shires Associations (LGSA) of NSW, the Water Directorate and the Australian Government (through the Water Smart Australia programme).

Water Services Association of Australia
Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) has 28 members and 24 associate members providing water and wastewater services to approximately 15 million Australians and many of Australia's largest industrial and commercial enterprises.
